So my brittle star has been missing for 3 days now. He is always in the same place in my tank. Would a jaw fish eat him? I don't have any big fish in the tank. Or would an open brain coral eat him?

I don't think either would eat him. Are you sure it hasn't just moved somewhere else? I've got a serpent star that moves it's hiding place every couple of weeks, and if I'm lucky I'll get to see him once a week or so.

I seldom saw mine and I too don't think either suspect could do any harm to your brittle. I bet you'll see it soon.

It's more than likely exploring the tank. I found mine all the way at the top of the rock work a few times, totally away from his usual spot.

Brittle stars will move pretty regular.Every night I see mines arms sticking out from under a different rock.Same with my serpent star.
You'd be amazed at how small a place even a large brittle can get into.
