is it ok to mix turbo calcium with r/o water for make up water? I am trying to keep my calcium at 450-475 ppm.when dosing,i should dose at night when ph is low,or during the day?or would the calcium mix have high ph? or better yet would kalkwrasser be a more affective method??:frustrat:

The problem I see is that you will be dosing a high calcium liquid with out the alkalinty to balance it. You might have precipitaition if the calium gets too high.
Kalk is more balanced system of calcium and alkalinity so you have less risk of precipitate. Here is a calculator that you can input the values into to see what the result will be Reef Chemistry Calculator

I agree with Poppinfresh to go with kalkwasser, unless you are seeing that your alkalinity levels are staying good. In that case, most directions advise to dose at night or right before you turn the lights off. Read the directions on the bottle and follow them if they specify a time.

If your dosing turbo calcium in topoff water then you'll end up overdosing it.
