More starfish woes...

I've had enough of this guy... my chocolate chip starfish is now being isolated in the refugium with only tons of chaeto algae as his companion.
Found him munching on my new acropora. Had to peel him away with tweezers because he had the frag completely engulfed being slowly dissolved alive in the stomach.
My LFS won't accept him as trade so I guess he can sit there until I come up with a better plan.

Chocolate chip stars are not reef safe. You should try and find someone with a FOWLR that will take it.

My CC star has been in my refuge for two yrs now. He was in my seahorse tank but I knew he could not go in my reef.

I would think that somone in the hobby with your kinda experiance would know a cc starfish isnt reef safe. sorry you had to learn a tough lesson:frustrat:

Actually I haven't had SPS until recently. The starfish didn't bug my zoas or button polyps.
