My 80gal setup

baddfish

scrubber fan!
When I joined the forums here I said I would get some pictures of my setup which has changed since then, but I've just started trying my luck at taking some photos and I only have recent ones to post.

The 80gal has been going for roughly 9 months or so, and the 20gal has been cycling for a couple weeks. The 80 is plumbed thru the wall behind it into a small walk-in pantry that has the 40gal sump on the floor. The two algae screens take almost all of the 800 or so gph coming from the overflow. (I took a picture of that drift of detrius in the sump because when I first set this sump up, there was a solid blanket of that stuff on the bottom and the powerheads and pvc were totally covered with it. Six weeks later that's all that is left, and I swear I can see that disappearing daily.)
The 20gal has its own simple little waterfall scrubber that I made out of an old wet/dry box, and its really working well. Its probably getting about 200gph over the screen. I haven't really decided exactly what I want to put in there yet, as it still needs 5-10 more lbs. of rock, and to finish the cycle.

The one picture of the bangaii with his mouth slightly open is the male carrying some eggs he's had for a couple of weeks now, and he gets pretty scrawny looking during the process. I was really happy the addition of the foxface didn't upset them, but I'm still just letting things take their course, with no plans to try to raise the babies. Also, the spotted cardinal is really shy, so I could only get him in a background shot. (kinda fuzzy.)

The rest are just a few random snapshots of what's inside. I only have a handful of coral frags until I'm able to upgrade my lighting, which I hope to do soon. The ones I do have are growing and seem to be spreading.

...remember, these are simple snapshots to give everyone an idea of my setup...not works of art like some of you guys post...!

Your tank looks great! I love the little 20g under your 80, I saw a really cool looking setup like that once and it's always made me want to try it.

My daughter got upset with me because I didn't include pictures of our 'obligatory' nemo-fish in the tank thread...they're her favorites. They just never stop squirming, and the camera isn't the best, so...
I also got a picture of the foxface 'spiking out'.
