Mystery Crab

Hi Folks,
I ordered a cleaning crew online, and got a couple extra hermit crabs with it. The website I ordered it from could not tell me what they are. They seem to be quite aggressive. They constantly fight with one another and have already killed 2 cerith snails and jacked their shells despite extra shells being available. I have no coral yet, but am wondering if these guys are reef safe.

Hermit crabs, and a lot of other crabs, are snail killers. Its just what they do and why a few of us dont like to keep them in our tanks. They are a good part of your CUC but you have to weigh the pro's and the con's For me murdering my snails isnt worth it. Plus they scare me.

I took all the crabs out of my tank. I hate the little bastards.
