New powerhead

Hi everyone,
I searched the site to see if anyone has posted anything on this topic and could not find one. I just recently bought a 1300 gph powerhead for my 55 gallon tank and was wondering where inside the tank is the best place to mount it and where to direct the flow. I am trying to do things the right way in my new tank and will take all of the constructive criticism I can get.

Most people put the powerheads in a back corner, facing towards the front of the tank, at a slight angle (so not pointed straight at the glass). It should be positioned near the top of the tank, so that it creates a ripple in the surface of the water.
