ok im wanting to start a saltwater tank
what i want to know is if anyone has seen the videos on youtube by ipsfdotcom on setting up a nano reef. if you havent seen it it shows how to use the ten gallon aquarium kit from walmart as a nano reef. it says you need no more equipment than what comes in the box.

what i want to know is if this system will work.
will it work without a sump
will you not have to do the water changes like they say

iI this is going to be your very first saltwater tank, I would not personally recommend a nano tank. They are more sensitive to common beginner mistakes and you are also very limited in your livestock selections.

smaller tank's = 's more maintence :frustrat:

It's not necessarily more maintenance but, it is harder to keep your water parameters consistent with a smaller volume of water.

I'm not familiar with those YouTube videos, but they sound too good to be true.
