New to Zoas

Hey gang, need your expertise. I have added some zoas to my colony, would anybody be able to pass on some expertise towards these.

I have them under a nice flow and nice medium lighting. But mainly what about the feeding of them? LFS talked me into a Coral Food, and have chopped them down to a more moderate piece for the little heads. Could use your thoughts.

I have a few Zoa colony's and I feed mine frozen mysis. Let it thaw for about five minutes and use a turkey baster to spot feed them. They love it.

Do you shut down the powerhead and use a pipette or a turkey baster?

Zoas don't need to be fed, they receive their foods from the light and the water column...I've never even seen mine readily take any food I've fed the tank.

I spot feed them with a turkey baster. I give them 1-2 pieces of mysis per head. Mine are big though. U can always add phyto-plankton to ur tank too

These heads are really small and I sure don't want to shock them by hitting them with a blast of food they cant handle, kinda seems detrimental to what we're doing here.

Like I said I used to dose phyto in my tank when they were little. Now they r pretty big. Good luck.

Zoas do not need to be fed, like Smitty said, they get all they need from the water column.

Yup like these guys said, normally mouths arent big enough for meaty foods, best just to let them be, and grow on thei own
