so i just put in my protein skimmer.. at first the airstone wasnt getting any air through it.. i found where the air was going through in the tube and it was the check valve. I had to really work the rubber piece in the check valve in so that air could pass. air finally made it to airstone.. its bubbling but the bubbles are barely making it into the collection pot. so my question is.. why does it take a week or two for the skimmer to "break in" and is it bad that it is collecting just clear water?
