Pistol Shrimp?

I have this Shrimp/crawdad looking think. Every now and then I hear this loud snap. I think the sound is comming form this guy, buy it is hard to tell because he always hidden. I will try and post a picture. He is a blue/grean color and has one large claw and one small claw. Digs crazy tunnels that are very long and deep. I use a flashlight to look back into them. Any Ideas?

Yes sounds to me like one of the two shrimp Little_fish mentioned a Photo would help. If you have crabs or other shrimp and they become missing that would be a good reason why.

I know its not a mantis shrimp and I have other crabs that it never bothers. It has not came out from hidding for a couple of days so I dont have a picture yet.

If it's a pistol, it should be fine. They usually pair up nicely w/ gobies. I have a pistol shrimp...I don't see him often unless I look at him from under the tank in gaps in the sand under rocks. He never bothers the fish at all.
