Protein Skimmer

So i was surfing craigslist today and ran across a i coralife super skimmer for a 220 gallon tank for 50 dollars working perfectly. Would this be to big for my 75 gallon tank or could i use it? Even if i cant im going to buy it i cant pass on this deal.

It wouldn't be too big. It's a good skimmer, but can be difficult to get working properly. They are prone to flooding.

I agree with biff.. they are a good skimmer but as I found out with one I had it does occaionally flood over.. I just got lucky that I had it in my sump or what a mess I would have had.. when set up right they do work really well though..have to make sure you keep the water levels just right when in the sump and they are good.. used it for just over a year and had 2 overflows..:D

I have to disagree and say they are junk. Besides the fact they do flood, they simply don't perform well. Save your $50 and put it towards a good skimmer.
