Question about my refugium skimmer

I have no idea if my skimmer is in working order or not. Where should the water line be? How long does it normally take for the bubbles to start?

should start bubbling insantly. might not go into the collection cup but your skimmer should be filled with bubbles..

there should be some type of pump that will make the bubbles on the skimmer part, did yours come with one?

hmmm...no I don't think. I have a pump but... I'm really not sure.

I mean I'm not sure how that would work, because there is no way I could put a pump there.

the pump should be hangin inside your tank is it?

It will take a few days to 'break in' too

Now that I look at it I did it right. So it will take a couple days before it starts skimming? I have had it set up for 3 or 4 days. I just don't think I have it at the right level.

inside the skimmer body, it should instantly produce bubbles as soon as you power it on.take more pics. of pump in tank and if you can a not so close up of the body of the skimmer

The problem I have with this thing is it came with no istructions and there are no good photos on the web.
