Question on Shrooms :)

So I got one mushroom head from a friend. Glued it to a rock which it held nicely, I merely patted the bottom dry with a paper towel while holding it with forceps.

I guess Im wondering, did I do the right thing gluing it down?

its not always good to glue them down but when they don't want to stay sometimes you have to, i do it a lot when my mushrooms or polyps unanchor themselves

I don't see glueing being the issue. was it healthy? possibly the frag was going to die either way.

ya the only problem with it is they are hard to remove but it is a affective way of keeping them down so they dont float off into the power head or anything i do it alot so it should be fine

It didnt die, it looks fine, just wondering if I did the right thing. Next time Ill check BEFORE i go Krazy gluing! :frustrat:

if its not dead. dw. glueing is fine! we all do it

Gluing them is ok, if they're unhappy with the place you put them, they will develop a slime coat and release themselves. If you ever feel like moving it you can just take a razor and cut the stem at the base.

Gluing mushrooms straight down sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. If it detaches again, you can try rubberbanding it to a rock, or putting it in a tupperware container with rubble at the bottom.

I have a question about that. If you stick it in a tupperware container what do you do with the container and how long do you leave it in there.
