Red Fungi

So these little things are growing all over my fish tank, i just got new T5 lighting and everything is doing way better, so i think that is what brought this on. there clearly red and when i poke at them they are kinda fleshy at first i thought red slime but its too solid. so what is it and is it good or bad and how do i get rid of it if it's bad. thanks

if I had to guess... maybe a sponge? but thats just a guess

I would guess some sort of sponge as well

I agree, it's a sponge. They are harmless, but if they start to spread more than you'd like, you can pull them off by hand.

Thanks guys, i'm glad that its just a sponge. i do like the added color in my tank so i think i will leave them alone.
