Red/White spinning little thing?

Sorry about the large pictures guys, using 7 and I can't seem to find a simple reducer.

Anyways, just noticed this thing spiraling about in my 1 month old 10 gallon aquarium. Looks like a barber pole! With what might be a head, who knows?

Any ideas?

No idea what it is, but you can open your photos into paint and resize them in there, then save them as jpgs.

Thats a bristle worm trying to get away from something.
They will spiral themselves so the flow will pick them up and carry them somewhere else.Its one of their defenses against predators.Of course it also helps them get to where more food might be too.
