RO water and algae

Well i finally got around to buying and installing my RO unit as seen HERE. I did about a 20% water change with the RO water after i made sure to run at least 30G onto the lawn. I have a green algae problem (hence getting the RO unit) curious to know how long does it take before the algae starts subsiding? Should I do a bigger water change in a week or so? Any light on this would help alot.

It'll take a while before before the algae starts letting up.That stuff is a PITA.
Just keep up the fight,manually remove as much as possible,and run GFO.Of course water changes will help.

Be prepared to wait months before you start seeing a difference. I know. It sucks.

aw /wrists oh well that is what i get for using De chlorinated tap water.
