RO water storage?

Might be the wrong thread to post this but i have a regular Rubbermaid trash can ( brand new of course ) i was watching a youtube video and this guy recommended you buy the grey, white or yellow brute line because it is FDA safe and no plastic chemicals will leach into your water? anyone know anything about this? or am i ok?

Rubbermaid makes a food grade barrel you can buy and use as well. Or is it Brute?

You want a darker material that will cut off outside light otherwise algae will grow in it if it sits there long enough.
