Rust never sleeps

Seems like all my tools rust way too fast. I rinse them all in tap and put out to dry but they rust too fast. Does anyone dry their tools off immediately? My tools seem to rust in only like 2 months. ??

Are they stainless steel? Anything that touches my tank that isn't stainless rusted quickly and bad even if I rinse immediatly after use and dry off.

Anything that gets used in my tank immediately gets dried with a towel when it comes out of the tank.

Try wiping them down with WD40 after rinsing them with tap water. That should do the trick!

I wouldnt want WD40 to get in my tank though, maybe rubbing them down with some isopropyl alcohol? It will quickly evaporate any water that the drying doesnt get.

Even stainless steel rusts very quickly. I stole a bunch of tools out of NDB's old med kits for my tank, and they rusted in no time.

I don't use that many tools. Vise-grip pliers and screw drivers (both kinds) is about all I use.

I have these and they haven't rusted yet. I've been using them for the past few months.
