Skimmer Cup Plug Floats?

I dropped my Reef Octopus cup plug as I took it out in the sump because I had a huge foam attack from something I was using.

I had to wait for the foam to dissolve to see and now that thing is MIA.

I thought the skimmer may have sucked it up but there is no way it can fit. It would of had to get through my bubble trap.

I thought the only place it could have gone in into the outlet of the skimmer but it sits at the water line and I check in the skimmer.

Wouldn't it float?

I found it laying under the table on the tile. Seriously... I mean seriously!
