Reefing newb
I have a Reef Octopus BH2000 HOB skimmer. Yesterday I unplugged it to do a water change. When I plugged it back in, it was not functioning properly. Here's a summary of the symptoms...really appreciate the help.
First, the siphon overflow shield (attaches to inlet pipe) was quickly filling up then emptying, causing a gurgling sound.
Then, the chamber with the water outlet stopped filling high enough...it fills right to the top of the pipe but not enough to enter the pipe and return to the tank.
It seems like the pump isn't working properly...like somethings blocked.
I will probably disassemble it tonight to check everything out but wanted to throw my questions out there in the meantime.
