Question? I have a DIY Sump/Fuge and have Chaeto. Since I put the light on the sump I now have algae growing. Is it a good idea to put snails in sump/fuge area?

You want algae to grow there. That is what helps to keep it out of your display.

Yes, you can put snails in there. I dont know the size of your sump, but try 1 per 2 gallons and see how that helps. What lighting are you running? If you would like, you can also run your lighting opposite of your display and limit the amount of time your lights are on.
