I am watching my tank as I do every night and I am noticing what looks like little particles or water bubbles swimming around. I have no idea what they could be, but it is very weird. It almost looks like what people describe as ick, meaning little pieces of salt swimming. Any ideas what this could be?

It sounds like amphipods or copepods (pods), which are like little bugs. They are a sign of a healthy tank, and are basically live fish and coral food.
You would not be able to see ich swimming in the tank -- it's too small.
