Staghorn Necrosis

I have a question on my staghorn...as you can see it has a few necrosis spots on it. Nico had this "frag" on the sandbed as it broke off his colony and landed on a millipora, obviously the milli won that battle. Should I frag our the dead spots or let it be and hope that it recolonizes?

I would leave it. When you need to frag is when it is rapid. Then fragging could be the only thing to save it.

If you can keep algae off the dead spots,then just leave it alone.If algae starts growing on it,then frag it.

Cover the dead spots/algae covered spots with super glue gel. If there is any rotting tissue left deep inside, it will smother it and the coral will grow over it.
