Sump return type

So I'm setting up a 40G breeder with a 20G sump, mag 5 for return pump. For the return, should I do the "standard" flow accelerator near the surface of the tank? Or I was thinking about possibly plumping a little system to where I could split the return flow into 3 little pipes and make them shoot out near the bottom of my tank behind my rock (In order to promote more water flow behind my rocks). Any suggestions? Thank you

if you split it into two and use your flow accelerators at the top you will see alot of movement on the bottom of the tank.. take one pipe ( on the right side of your tank) and keep it flowing straight down the back of the tank and angle the other( from the left side of the tank) out toward the front, not straight out but on an angle, so you get a whirlpool effect, you will be amazed at how much stuff will move at the bottom..
