t5 bulbs

ok here it goes.i bought a retro fit light(72'').the bulbs broke both times they sent them.so iam looking for 8 57'' bulbs.they sent me 4 actinics and 4 10k.what should i get and where.i cant find bulbs that length no where.1 more ?.why did they put 57'' bulbs in a 72'' light?(dont the make them in 72''?):frustrat::frustrat::frustrat:

No, they don't make a 72" T5 bulb. They usually stagger the 60" bulbs in the fixture.
You can get bulbs from HelloLights or ReefGeek.

That's what I have but brand is going to matter.
I noticed that 10k bulbs can vary GREATLY in color from brand to brand.
I'd like to know myself which brands produced the truest spectrums.

They don't make 72'' bulbs Bullitt.The bulbs are already thin,I get scared installing 48'' T5 let alone 60 inchers.The bulbs you have is fine for growth.It's up to you if you want to change some out that will give it more ''pop''.You can replace the one broken blue bulb with a true actinic(purple bulb in the 420nm).If you still don't like the looks then getting one more 420nm to replace another blue and a Aquasun 10k(crisp pink) and a ATI aquablue special(12k daylight) in place of the two white daylights.
