T5 ho lighting

I have an 8 bulb tek light. What colors should I be using. I took out some pink and purple that was in there. I went with just white and actinic. One on each switch so I can turn on just the blues. Boy did I get a diatom Blume after that. I think some of the bulbs are old. Fixture was used and was given some spares. So going to start replacing the whites with 10k new bulbs. Just wondering is the diffrent colors also needed?

10K and 420nm actinic is what most go with.
