Tank just got clouded

hey guys I took out the nitrite pad that goes in fiter and now my water is clouded idk what to do if to change water or put pad back or clean it with water will this kill my fish

its not algae or any food cause thing is I did a water change and added more sand so it looks like dust from sand didnt change pad its clearing up though I did the change couple days ago

If you would've been a little more descriptive in your original post than my answer would've been different.:D It seems you left a a large part of the story, specifically about just adding sand.

If it's just the sand residue, it's harmless and it will settle in a couple of days at the most.
