Tank Transfer

Rockin Reefers!
hey guys i recently set up a new 58 gal. tank and need some advice/tips on how to go about moving livestock and live rock from my 44 gal. tank to the new 58 gal. one, The new tank has been up and running with a 3-4 inch sand bed, temperature and salinity is good and stable. Should i move all 60 lbs of live rock into the new tank all at once? same with the livestock? just wondering what has worked best for you guys, thanks for any help

The live rock will probably be alright to just move over.
Any fish, coral,or inverts will need to be acclimated though.

I think you would be okay adding the Live Rock to it now. It may go through a mini cycle, so I would wait to add livestock until you have tested a couple of weeks at least and know that there is or isn't anything going on.

would it be beneficial to transfer some of the water from the old setup to the new one? been using the same brand salt mixes and same water source on both set ups

It probably would be a good idea to transfer over some of the water.
But I also think that as long you tank your time moving the rock, and rinse it good in saltwater, that you should be able to avoid any cycle.Just gotta take it slow.
