my tds readings are 176in and 26 out.the 26 out isn't very good is it?my rodi system is only 3 month old.what could be wrong?:frustrat:

My tds readings coming out of my RO and into my DI are 2-3 and coming out of the DI are a big fat 0.
My water pressure is 45-50psi.

i am not shure maybe to much pressure? call the company you got it from they will be able to help you out the most

Sorry! I just meant being that it potentially could read 0, something must be wrong.

Is it reading that right away? After the water that is stored in mine makes it way out it will read zero. It usually takes a coupple of minutes.

How many filters are on your RODI?
A typical 6-stage system should be as follows for 0ppm :
SEDIMENT FILTER
ACTIVE CARBON FILTER
CARBON BLOCK FILTER
RO FILTER
DI FILTER
DI FILTER (optional for 7 stages)
ACTIVE CARBON FILTER
Maybe your RO filter is installed in reverse.
Sounds stupid, but it happens.
Maybe your pressure is too high.
Over pressure will force waste water through the RO.
Maybe it's time to replace the DI resin (or add a 2nd DI filter as a 7th stage).

i think the pressure was to high.i have been playing with the pressure and got it down to 6.it is a 6 stage.

Yeah, too much pressure will force wast water through the RO filter since it can only handle x amount of flow.
Test your TDS meter with some distilled water and make sure it reads zero.
Sometimes those things can get out of whack.
6 isn't bad. I have 16 from my RO alone. I decided not to add the DI filter as I can live with 16.

Maybe thats my problem then. Mine was 9 before changing the year old filter, now its 21 (started @30 a month ago) but the pressure is blasting. It fills the tank in 1/4 the time as the old filter. I just thought that was due to the new unblocked-up filters though.
