hey was doing some late night watching and found a few unkown critters.
THese two pics are of the same snail without a shell looking thing on my glass.

And heres a few pics of these little critters running around. Never seen them around corals or anything mostly just running around the sand. Amphipods maybe? Are they good? THey dont look like and copeods ive ever seen.

i have lots of those snails in my tank. got one thats about inch and half long. just algae nothing else. i call them snails on the half shell. the others are ampipods. wrasses live for those.

yup., gobbling up those ampipods. also those snails do have a shell, it likes like a half of a freshwater clam shell. but you won't see it when they alive. just after they die and something eats them. you'll see a small 1/2 shell on the bottom, and wonder what it came from

dont you see the snails in the daytime. mine is always out and about when lights on

ya i see them , i have lots of them. can't hardly see the shell though. the mantle coverers up most of it

No Bronson that's the weird thing I've never seen these type of snails out during the day.

:confused: the stomatella i have has a shell which is flatish and alot smaller than the length of its body .you can clearly see it at all times on its back.ordering a tablet hopefully this week and will post a pic thats if i work out how to:D
