Tired of buying premixed water

I've been buying premixed water for some time. I use RO water to add for topping off. Thinking of mixing my own saltwater but not sure if I can use my tap water after dechlorinating. We have town water, not well water and I wanted to see what others thought of this. I can probably save close to $200 a year, so it's something I think is worthwhile exploring.

Use the 200 you save the first year and buy an RO unit. Then you dont need to buy top off water or premixed salt water.

For a while, I was buying just the RO water, but even for a 30 gallon, it was 5 bucks a week in water. So around 250 a year. Then add the salt, you are looking at over 300. My RO unit cost 170, so it took a little over 7 months to pay for itself.
