Jalli Corporation (this one is an 800w....might need external controller...what does this mean? Where can I get one?):

Or is there another brand (preferrable purchasable via Amazon -- got a gift card..yay!). If I get the first two, I'd have to get a 2nd heater. The one made by Jalli, if accurate, doesn't need a 2nd heater to heat my 125. I will still get a 2nd heater as backup (probably a used titanium one from my lfs).

Wonton, being in the "tank boil club" I would go with two smaller heaters myself so if one malfunctions it doesn't heat the tank up over 85 or so degrees. Now I am using a smaller heater that is controlled by 2 different controllers to avoid this. I have in the past had two titanium heater malfunctions.

I would recommend a couple of these: (They have an automatic shut-off feature for safety)

Sweet! Good price, too!

With the 125, I'll need a total of around 375w, based on the 3 watts/gal rule, right? So 2 of those will be good.

Anyone w/ experience on this brand?
