upgraded lights

Im going from a 6 bulb nova extreme pro light fixture to a 2x250w with 4 65 watt pc lights on it over my 75. now thats a big increase. :) to both my tank and the power bill :shock: :D


but how shal I acclimate my corals to the new light? without starving them for it?

Just leave your lights on for a few hours every day (say 4ish), and then increase the light period by an hour once a week.

A more difficult way to acclimate is to get some screening material from the hardware store, place several layers over your tank, and remove one layer every few days until the light is at full power.
