Using metal pot to hold a water

Hi.

Yesterday i had to take the water out of my small fish tank to drill a hole. It been kept about 8 hours in a metal pots with no corrosion (from what can be seen). I saw now online that metals have bad effect with saltwater.

About 1/3 of the water kept in a plastic pot.

Can i use this water or better to use the 1/3 with a new water? I can add a fresh new water (a gallon) everyday too...

I think you will be ok :) Just avoid that in the future.

Yeah, you should be fine to use it.

Try to avoid it if possible, but I sometimes MIX in metal. Storing in plastic is better.
