Setting up a new 90 gallon once I get the new flooring down in my basement as an upgrade from my 55g and I have been thinking about getting a Vortech setup but I have some concerns and I was hoping there may be a few people out there with these pumps that can help out.
My new 90 gallon is 48x25x18.
My tank is primarily a seahorse tank, so insane flow is not good for them. I would more than likely run the vortechs on lagoon mode both as this is more what the horses live around in the wild and because I'm planning on doing having about half the tank be a seagrass bed.
The one thing that I am concerned about though is the pump setup. Whether one Vortech 40 would be enough for the entire tank or whether I would be better off getting two 10's or two 20's. I would really hate to drop the $450 on a 40 only to discover that it isn't enough for the tank. Also can you combine like a 40 and a 10?
