Water Change Low Ph in My 5 gal mix

Im getting ready to do a water change i have let my water sit for a few weeks and i was getting ready to to heat the water and change it i tested the ph lvl and it was at about 7.4 willl this go up with heat or am i going to have to get some buffer tank ph is at 8.2

What's the salinity of the water? Sitting for some time in a covered bucket will drive the pH down and likely isn't anything to worry about as long as your salinity is good.

I though you had to match the PH of the tank at all times when doing changes.

Just salinity and temp.

You should keep an air pump and wooden aerator or airstone around. Let the water aerate for a bit. Should raise the PH. Let some fresh air into the house too.
