Aug 6, 2010 #2 Sammydog Reefing newb Ive got a similar thing, see my photo, and have no idea what it is. If someone could help ID it that would be awesome. Its been in the tank since I got it 9 months ago and hasn't grown, mind you most of the time it is under the shade of a mushroom. Attachments red.jpg 25.7 KB · Views: 423

Aug 6, 2010 #5 ccCapt Reef Hacker Real hard to tell from those pics, but it looks like red marco algae, probably Botryocladia.sp.
Aug 6, 2010 #6 fastrd400 It wasn't me! Kinda hard to tell from your pic. Does it resemble this? Attachments Red Nemastoma.jpg 26.7 KB · Views: 3,042
Aug 6, 2010 #7 twps Reefing newb I'd say that is the closest picture to what I actually have. It doesn't deflate when out of water, it has a slimy soft texture. It looks feathery as it grows.
