it is just something that was prob made for a fresh tank airater that they gave it some fancy terms like 5 stage filtration blah blah blah. it is not worth the cost of the plastic it is made off in a salt tank. there is no way in hell that that filter is better than a canister filter or a skimmer,live rock sand. you would need 50 of those things to do what ten pounds of LR would do IMO. if you want to get one go ahead but is is going to be a big waste of money

what is the difference between distilled and tap water .

distilled has nothing in it it is clean pure water.that is why most people invest in a RO/DI unit to make the water themselves. tap water has all kinds of crap in it from radioactive material to presiciption meds. look up your citys water report and you will see whats all in it.

Daugherty is right -- distilled, or deionized water is pure, and what you should use in your tank. Tap water contains tons of stuff that is dangerous to your tank livestock.

The filter has some merit for a small freshwater tank, but, is not suitable for a saltwater system.
