I currently have 2 400w MH with a 14k color temp. I am still hazy on actinic lighting and it's application. Do the actinic lights require a special fixture or can I use my 3ft fluorescent shop light fixture?
That all depends on what wattage of bulbs the fixture is rated for and the type of bulbs. If you can find an actinic bulb with the same wattage, I think you will be ok. I can't find bulbs for my t-12 HO setup anymore. I use regular t-12s for now but they burn out quickly.
