what to expect?

ok so my first question is, if i set up a 20 gallon tank with 25 lbs of ls and 25 lbs of lr, and do not add any fish right away. what kinds of things would grow in the tank? its kinda of a odd question but just wanted to know.

Algae and anything that hitchhiked on the live rock, but mostly algae (if you use your lights).

If you have good live rock, and after the die off you may have anywheres from coral to critters. hard to say. you will be better to access the answer to your question while you are maturing your system for the final animals.

With just the rock and sand I agree just algae,but maybe some others life may come out of the rock like sponges,feature dusters,bristle worms.With the right light added you have a number of possibilities.Start with some shoom and zoanthid frags,they should grow if your tank is healthy.
