Zebra gobies

My zebra gobies have been acting weird lately, one has colored up to this very pretty yellow and almost constantly flared up and the other has gone almost see through.

Im assuming it has something to do with mating, but i just wanted to double check with you guys and gals.

It might be a courtship ritual, but it could also be a territorial dispute. Which tank to do you have them in?

They are in the 55 tank, they both sleep in the same cave though. Perhaps they dont like one another anymore?

Could be. Its kinda hard to tell. Are they both still eating well or is there any kind of chasing going on or posturing?

They chase each other around and such but nothing major but when i turn the light off they cozy up in the same cave. The flaring seems to be directed at everyone though not just the other goby.

We call those Bar Gobies :mrgreen: We had a pair in the 380 at the LFS. They did what your describing just before casting eggs. So I'm guessing that yours is trying to spawn.

yeah the store around here calls them bar gobies, but the one i got them from calls them zebra :) Thanks
