I'm pissed :( I just got off work to find (one) of the four frags still in it's original position. One got sucked into the powerhead, one is sitting in the corner upside down, and the other is missing. :(

So I met up with a guy today to get red of my Anemone, and he had a nice bag of Xenia Elongata cuttings for me. They are a beautiful purple/blue/green and they wave in the current like you wouldn't believe. I'm very excited! My only concern is.....how long do they usually take to "grab hold"...

Damn it, I was really enjoying my scallop. I think my LFS will bitch about taking the nem.....I've already called and asked them for advice so they know it's condition. And with the reputation of Flame Scallops in this hobby.....it sounds like I'm shit out of luck.

It varies from 2"-3.5" deep throughout the tank. So you're saying just re-aim the powerhead and let it run, even if the sand is being stirred?

How much sand is too much sand? I had around 25 lbs of live sand in my 55 gal and it was by no means enough. I added 40 lbs of Bio-Activ Live Aragonite yesterday but some of my rocks are almost completely buried, and if I turn on my powerhead the whole sand bed starts kicking up and...

I have it......bought if for $50 off my buddy, used. It seems to work good although I need to break down the pump & clean the internals. It does collect a fair amount of skim mate, though. Just a bit noisy.
