Help with anemone flower???

What is this? I have several that rode in on a piece of LR and now they are growing in my tank. Are they good to have or should I start weeding them out?

Those are majano anemones. They are a pest. You should get rid of them ASAP, as they spread very quickly. Aiptasia X will work. Peppermint shrimp won't normally touch them.

Yeah, no matter how many times I kill them, one still pops up.

They're a PITA.

yet Ive never seen a tank devoted to them, seems a shame they can be very pretty

I had 3 of them on my rock and I took the piece out of the water and ran extremely hot water over hem and they usually fall right off don't pick them they will regrow! Any little piece left behind wil start new growth! Ahhh!! The other thing I did was took my needle syringe and injected there mouths with again hot water and same thing fell right off! My peppermint shrimp dont touch these, but aptishia they have it destroyed in 3 days usually! Good luck. Hope u get them guys gone.

Hit all the ones I could see with Aiptasia X yesterday. They all curled up. I will keep an eye out and start hitting them as soon as they pop up now.
