    White sand no more

The sand I have at the bottom of my tank isn’t “WHITE” anymore but more of a slightly dirty white. I have four nassarius snails, four turbos and couple hermits and a sea urchin that move the sand around a lot. So, I’m just curious if this is normal. I don’t think it’s diatom since I’ve...

How to clean your built in overflow

I've got a little bit of algae on the plastic of my built in overflow. It's plastic and goes all the way to the bottom of the tank so I don't think it's a good idea to use a razor. What has worked for you?

    Ich or not

I thought my yellow belly tang had Ich, but I could be wrong. All of a sudden he seemed to have one dot on the nose, 2 on the right side and one on the right side of his tail. I did 20% water change and feed them food soaking in garlic. This is my first time dealing with ich so bear with me...

    mag-float w/ easy blade VS. mag-flip

I just got the mag-float with the easy blade attachment and it works so well on algae!!! Took 30 seconds to put together (plus, 10 mins to dry) and 5 mins to clean the tank. Super easy and fast. I'm super excited. I've never been excited to clean, but this got me excited.

Open Brain Coral and Candy Cane

Just checking ... both my open brain coral and candy cane fill out very well when the lights are on, but after the lights are off (4 hours later) both corals look somewhat like a skeleton. Normal?

    White dots?

And the winner is Spirorbid worms! After looking for 10 mins to find one close up, they look like Spirorbid worms. On a bright note, one of my fish has ick. Faint little white dots. This hobby sometimes makes me cringe!!!

    White dots?

MAYBE nerite snail eggs!!! I do have 4 or 6 and they are active. I did pick up a live rock from someone which had small starfish on it. And they are growing. I'll examine with a magnifying glass tonight

    White dots?

Yes, no grouping or jelly. Just a dot.

    White dots?

Not ick ... YEPPY!!!!!!!!!!!! So, they don't seem to be in any spiral-shape. Just a dot. Snail eggs maybe?

    White dots?

I didn't see them move. I was only looking for ten seconds and I didn't see them move. They weren't there yesterday and now there are quite a few (20ish). I've never had to deal with Ick, but could this be Ick? Should this be something I should be worried about.

    White dots?

I’ve just ordered my mag-float with easy blade attachment to remove algae from the glass. This morning I noticed a couple white dots on the glass. The come off fairly easily, but have no idea what they are. Thoughts?

    mag-float w/ easy blade VS. mag-flip

Anyone have experience with Mag-Float w/ Easy Blade or Mag-Flip? Below is a url to a youtube video of someone who purchased a mag-float 125 and a junior easy blade. He super glued the easy blade to the mag-float. Looks like a good idea. YouTube - Product Review: Easy Blade w/Mag Float Thanks
