Would the octopus extreme series skimmer be a good choice? is a recirculating skimmer better? I think I'm going to have the guy at the lfs order me one. Seems that a great deal of people here use the octopus' and like them more than some of the others I've asked about in the past.
Alright the guy down at the LFS talked me into going with a sump/refugium with an in sump protein skimmer when I get set up. The tank is going to be a 90 gallon and he sells either the coralife superskimmer and the Marineland Advanced in sump skimmer, the latter he said he really liked. Any...

Appreciate all the feedback, it looked like a good deal to me I figured I might buy some of their base rock and standard to get started. I don't know how it is around the country but my LFS sells it for around $7 a pound though he usually comes down a bit when you buy a fair amount.

I was just wondering if many of you had any experience ordering live rock through LiveAquaria.com? Their prices seem to be alot better than my LFS. If you order their premium rock is it really "premium"? I was looking at a 45# box of the "standard" to maybe get a good base when I get started...
is the use of a sump that would house your skimmer/heater other equipment purely to get all of those things out of sight or is there an advantage with that method? I noticed most everybody with a larger tank runs these is there a size once you get to its required? probably a dumb question but...
Sorry to hear that. that is definently something I'll be checking regularly along with my other parameters not only for the fish but for my own safety as well.
