Nope I don't use conditioners and I usually wash my hands in very hot water before putting them in the tank. its almost like the pump is sucking up too much water, then the over flow, overflows.

yeah I dont know whats up with it, Its stioll foaming like crazy, I'm worried about leaving it alone a day, the cup is filling in one day as opposed to every 3 or 4 days like it used to be.

Its the BH 100, The power did go out for a little bit gonna try emptying some water out of the chamber tonight and resetting it. Hopefully that helps.

Anyone have any clues as to why my reef octo skimmer would be bubbling up like crazy all of a sudden and keeps over flowing, I haven't touched it or the tank. Thanks Simon

cool I think my flow might be a little high at the moment the one is getting blown around a little, I have them towards the bottom of the tank. Whats the grow rate on these guys like?

So good new is the skimmer is up and working perfectly after 3 days its producing all sorts of junk.. Bad new, while trying to pull out the foam insert i dropped my phone and car keys in my fish tank.. lol dont ask.

Thanks for your encouragement guys, Eventually I want to get a sump, the pumps so big it looks like I have some sort of nuclear reactor in there. I also removed the foam piece, I'm going to try run it without it and see how it goes. The over flow i`ll hook up tonight. Thanks again guys Simon

Well only a few hours. This is my first skimmer and the instructions were less than helpful. The cup is currently set as low as in can go. I`m not sure how or even if I can adjust the air. But ty for your help so far, I guess i`ll let it run in a little longer and see how it works out.

Yeah I was thinking about that, Unfortunatly its just too far to do an auto top up at this time. Maybe later if I get a bigger tank.

Ah ok ty Biff that makes it even simpler. I was just planing on using it for my equipment. I fear with my new skimmer and fillter and everything else hanging off the tank i`m not gonna have room for anything at this rate.
