I looked these things up, pretty interesting.

tanks about 8 months old. the refuge/sump is almost fully grown with caulerpa and it does not have this growing on the sand. this morning there was nothing there when i turned the lites on. later the gravel will be almost covered.

I don't have a phosphate test kit. I changed about 30% water twice since the slime.

I had a red slime outbreak a few weeks ago that i cured with red slime remover. Now the aragonite is turning orange, rust color. Is this the start of another problem? I have 2 power heads for circulation plus the main pump. Nitrate-0 nitrite-0 ammo-0 Any idears?

yup, thats how i feed them. But the one still gets charged at till he's in the corner. He still gets to eat though. But not sure if hes getting enough.

Yeah, they are young. They might have grown 1/4'' since i got them, from whatever size they are when they can be sold. Theres lots of hiding places in the live rock but neither goes near the rocks. I have the rock in the center of the tank to get circulation all around. Maybe i should seperate...

i don't know what cynobacteria is. It's forming itself around the crevices of the live rock. I have done nothing different since i noticed this. Water changes every 2 weeks of about 25-30%. I'll see what i can do about a pic. It'll be a couple days before i can do that though. I don't have...

I noticed i have clear whitish slime looking stuff growing on a few rocks. I poked at it with a stick and it looks sticky. Anyone know what this might be? Good, bad ? No pics, sorry.
