Well I know with mine all I did was leave it on a lower flow for a couple of days until I noticed that the unit was producing more micro bubbles so I turned the flow up. Basicly I just kept adjusting the flow over a week period until it stayed stedy filling the cup like it should. I am sure...

Because it is a new skimmer it will need several weeks to break in. I am no expert but from all the research I have read most skimmers have a break-in period. My skimmer even had it in the manual that it will have to break-in first. Hope this helps MoLaw

Yup I have a super skimmer that has been running about 2 weeks. I am getting muck but I still having trouble getting the level just right. Some times the cup fills to fast with dirty water other times foam muck just collects on the side of the tube going to the cup.

OK I think I a m going to do lights and corals. I do have to put some of the cash towards Christmas so let’s say I have $400. What would you recommend for lights and beginner corals? Also what evre coral you recomend what do I need to feed them and any special considerations? Thanks again!! 55...

Yeah, I bet it is cool seeing them with the anemone. The guy at the LFS (DUMP!!) has several anemones but I am hesitant due to the youth of my tank and the nastiness of his shop. Maybe I can get one later. I wish I had a LFS closer that was decent.

I have to choose between one or the other, Whats the verdict get lights or sump. I do not have corals or anything else yet but I would not mind getting some in the future. Thanks MoLaw

how do you acclimate to light??

I did take the picture with my DSLR and blow it up, The background is clear the wall is blue. I plan on painting it soon.

One more question , everything I am reading about actinic lights says that they peak at 420nm but theses lights are 460nm. Why the difference??

Great, Thanks a lot for the info. I guess you should run the 4 light during the day and the lunars at night but should you run the Actinc's at night also since it is blue or is that to much light?
