I haven't tried dipping them... I did when they went in, but that was a while ago. I think I'm going to pull them out and tweeze it off and I'll give them a quick dip. I was hoping to do the work with them in the tank, but that's not going to be possible, so I'll definitely give them a quick dip...

I tried stealing my wifes tweezers to grab it, but she vetoed that. I'm going to get some tomorrow and see if I can pull it off. It may be hard since my arms are short, but I'm hoping I can get a good look with a magnifying glass or something.

+1 on verifying with another test kit... I'm using IO salt and my Calcium is at around 330. I've ran the (red sea) test about 8 times over the course of the last few days so I'm going to pick up a different test kit this weekend to see if it's really that low.

Well that blows... I actually ordered 25 of the 7 cent ones and got a bunch of big ones mixed in. I actually thought they were going to be too big until the crabs started using them. My bad.

I actually just placed an order with reefcleaners.org earlier this month and ordered a bunch. Empty Hermit Shells Probably took 3 or 4 hours and a few had already changed. Some into comically big shells.
