    what would you say

$600 in USA $984 in UK but $4000 in Scotland  mate I really think you have got your figures crossed here and £64 for a custom tank that shape and size 24" 17" by 21" was never going to happen, there are loads of custom builders in the UK no need to limit yourself to Scotland but if you...

    what would you say

just to point out, the USA has a totally different economy than the UK, converting a UK price to a USA dollar price is not as simple as using a currency converter.

    room for a sump?

Thinking of a 2 foot cube but would I have room for a sump, with a refugium? it's for a reef setup so would like a fair bit of room down there and not too compromised on the simmer etc I have room for, am I expecting too much from a 2 foot stand?

    rimless

is it also the case that a rimless tank has a short shelf life, because it is weaker so only last about 5 years?

    rimless

yeah think I would have to do something similar.

    rimless

thinking of a rimless tank, how much of a problem are jumping fish though? are some more prone to jump than others? I prefer the look but don't want to worry about jumping fish.

    Quarantine tank

Just wondering if many have one and do you keep it running all the time and what do you use it for when not quarantining a fish? or is it a case of breaking it down when not needed but is it not then a few weeks setup time for when it is needed again?

    Tank shape

Just been for a trip to my "local" aquarium store to view a few tank setups, the type I preferred were the taller/square rather than the longer shaped tanks, I was just wondering is one more suited to SW than then other?, I guess the biggest downside to the more square shaped tank is they...

    Spotted mandarin care

do you just add bought pods now? or was it just before you got your mardarin? Isn't there an issue with introducing a disease when adding pods?

    Heat fluctuation.

Yeah I guess it's a daft question but it just seems surprising that a little heater costing a few pounds can keep on top of big fluctuations in room temp. Takes all my time keeping me warm in the winter, never mind some fish :D Good to know though, as it was one of my main concerns, oh and no...

    Heat fluctuation.

what I'm asking is, is a water heater able to cope with big fluctuations in room temp?

    Heat fluctuation.

Is heat fluctuations a big problem to overcome with SW tanks? at night my house can drop to around 12c/54f, is it just a case of buying a good water heater? Cheers

    size question

oh no I was afraid of this, it's went from 29 gallon to 90 gallons...looks like the tang come be nearer than I thought LOL

    size question

yeah 55G is not out of the question, I was under the impression that the min size for a SW tank would be around 90 gallons, so I'm pleasantly surprised I can go smaller than that. Would I be best looking at all in one set ups, or buying separate components?
